Agreement
By downloading or using Shutter Trail, you agree to these Terms of Use and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with Apple’s standard EULA, the standard EULA controls.
What the app provides
Shutter Trail records GPS trails on your device, lets you define trips by time range, and exports standard GPX files for workflows such as geotagging photographs in Adobe Lightroom Classic.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for confirming that recording is active, that the requested iOS permissions remain enabled, and that proposed matches and exported GPX files are suitable before applying locations to photographs. Use the app only where lawful and respect the privacy and property of others.
No guarantee of uninterrupted recording
Location accuracy and background operation depend on GPS conditions, device settings, battery state, permissions, and iOS behavior. Force-quitting the app, restarting the device, changing permissions, or system resource limits may interrupt recording. Shutter Trail does not guarantee that every location point will be captured or that every photograph will be tagged accurately.
Subscriptions and purchases
If Shutter Trail offers a free trial or auto-renewing subscription, the price and trial period shown in the App Store purchase screen apply. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, a subscription renews automatically and Apple charges the applicable renewal price. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial may be forfeited when a subscription is purchased, where applicable.
Your data and exports
You retain responsibility for the location records and GPX files you create. Protect exported files appropriately because they may reveal sensitive travel history. Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy.
Third-party products
Apple, Adobe, Lightroom, camera manufacturers, and any destination selected from the share sheet are independent third parties. Their products and services are governed by their own terms. Shutter Trail is not affiliated with or endorsed by Adobe or any camera manufacturer.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Shutter Trail is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. We are not liable for lost or incomplete tracks, inaccurate geotags, lost files, battery use, or indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes and termination
We may update or discontinue features and revise these terms. Continued use after revised terms take effect means you accept them. You may stop using the app at any time and should cancel any active subscription separately through Apple.
